Overview
The Hive is a bespoke hand-built wooden lodge for two, tucked away at Ashes Farm in the Yorkshire Dales. A cosy retreat for a pair, it comes with a king-size bed, ensuite shower room and a warm open-plan kitchen and living space, all looking out over Pen-y-ghent and the surrounding valley. Set within the Yorkshire Dales International Dark Sky Reserve, it makes a snug base for exploring the landscape by day and settling in beneath the stars after dark.

Stargazing guide
Ashes Farm sits within the Yorkshire Dales International Dark Sky Reserve, where minimal light pollution means the Milky Way, planets, meteor showers and thousands of stars come into view on clear nights. Guests can hire telescopes for use within the farm grounds, including a traditional astronomical telescope and a Seestar smart telescope for astrophotography. A complimentary stargazing hamper, including blankets, a red torch, binoculars and astronomy information, is available by pre-order.
