A 300-year-old, Grade II listed Welsh stone cottage tucked into its own private, mature woodland at the top of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), a few minutes off the A40 near Sennybridge yet with its nearest neighbours over a mile away. The name means "House in the Woods," and it earns it: ancient trees, birdsong and grazing sheep are your only company. Inside, it has kept all its character, with exposed beams, inglenook fireplaces, cottage latch doors, a solid stone winding staircase and a large wood-burning stove, alongside modern comforts like a range-cooker kitchen, dishwasher and a plump sofa for log-fire evenings.
